Why rent rather than buy?

The reasons for renting are obvious: if you rent your ski or winter equipment you won’t need to think about having to make space in your car (also reducing petrol costs, as no luggage rack has to be fixed to the car). There are no repair costs as skis and snowboards are checked and edges sharpened after each rental.
